Stage Two

The second stage of MMES is currently underway, coordinated by the four project leaders, and in cooperation with students where they are interested and available. Efforts include:

  • Exhibition of developed prototypes in art and conference contexts
  • Publication based on course processes and discoveries
  • Development of prototypes into customized reproducible experiences on a mass scale

This last component is our most significant founding concept - based on initial conversations with researchers in Kinesiology, Library Science and other areas, we anticipate a demand for new "augmented walks" in connection with education and awareness efforts in schools, community groups.

We anticipate possible roles for our projects within education in physical activity, art, science, or even community history and information-sharing. Important to our mission is the maintenance of a DIY approach in which new audiences have access to construction, customization and expansion of our original designed experiences.

Possible scenarios could include after-school curricula for secondary-school students, one-day workshops with community groups, even distribution of simple kits for construction of analogous experiences.

Specific details on these developing partnerships and applications will be announced here.
